MSCOMM32.OCX - How to use?

Gentlemen:

I refer to "Visual Basic Concepts / Using the Communications Control".
The URL is: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...(v=VS.60).aspx

The Communications Control is MSCOMM32.OCX.

Under the "The Receive Buffer" of the above reference is: txtDisplay.Text=MSComm1.Input

This simple command displays the entire contents of the Receive Buffer of Com1 as I understand.

This is exactly what I want to do. However, I cannot completely orchestrate the
other Commands that are needed to successfully use the simple Display command above.

Please advise at your convenience.
