how to get summary of bank account???

i have a data base which has all transactions of all customers like date type pf transaction amount and all......i
need to kno what to use so that i get all summary of particular account number which is transferred into a spread sheet or i can generate a report out of it........please help...i am learning vb on my own....help me out........
